You will need to have access to some hardware resources, such as RAM (RAM is used for the calculations), storage space(for storing data)and network bandwidth. You can use a virtual machine or physical server with Linux OS installed on it and then install nextcloud software in order to build your photoprism & NextCloud Server together .
You will need some tools, such as OpenSSL (to create SSL certificates), Nginx(for webserver) , PHP 7.4+ for the database layer etc..

Docker can be used to run databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MariaDB. You will need an image for the particular type of service you want (either one that comes with Docker already installed) or create your own customized container from scratch using a base like Debian Linux and then install whatever software is needed on it.
You can also use containers to run other services such as web servers, application servers etc., but this article will focus only on databases for now.
